UEFA

UEFA, which stands for the Union of European Football Associations, is the administrative and controlling body for European football (soccer). Founded on June 15, 1954, in Basel, Switzerland, it governs various competitions at both club and national team levels across Europe. UEFA is responsible for organizing major tournaments, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA European Championship (Euro), among others. It also oversees the implementation of rules and standards, as well as promoting the sport across its member associations. UEFA aims to develop football in Europe, ensuring its integrity and inclusiveness while fostering competitiveness among its members. It comprises 55 national football associations, each representing a European country, and works closely with FIFA, the global governing body for football.
