RCD Espanyol

RCD Espanyol, officially known as Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona, is a professional football (soccer) club based in Barcelona, Spain. Founded in 1900, it is one of the oldest football clubs in the country. The club’s name reflects its historical roots, as “Espanyol” signifies “Spanish” in Catalan, distinguishing it from other clubs in a region with a strong Catalan identity. RCD Espanyol’s home matches are played at the RCDE Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 40,000 spectators.
