Founded in 1913, the club’s full name stands for “Pool Sport Vereniging,” which translates to “Sports Club” in English, reflecting its origins associated with the Philips company. PSV is one of the most successful and widely recognized football clubs in Dutch football history, known for its strong performance in both domestic and European competitions.
